The house has three floors, on the ground floor there is a launderette with a washing machine, ironing board, drying rack and two rooms where you can store your luggage and hang the clothes to dry. The bedrooms are on the first and second floors, each one has a private bathroom with a vestibule, a shower and an hair dryer. On the third floor there are a living room with a wonderful view on the Madonie Natural Park, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, an espresso coffee machine, a refrigerator with freezer and a third bathroom with a shower.

I FURRIZZA is an ancient house built in the XVIII century, that was home of the musician Mauro Patti. It has been renovated adopting the building techniques of that age. Bedroom’s floors are original, so are the doors and the banister. Stair’s and living room’s floors are new but handmade, every single tile was manufactured reproducing the original designs and using antique techniques.
Guest access
The dwelling I Furrizza will be fully dedicated to our guests. Our neighbors Enza and Franco, and their sons Domenico, Fabrizio and Salvatore, will be happy to welcome all the guests of I Furrizza.
If you have any problem or question, do not hesitate to ask our neighbors: the people of Gangi are really special, you are going to feel like you’ve lived a past life in this magic village.
Noteworthy
The house does not have its own parking space but is by the road. You can stop by the house to load and unload your luggage. You may use a parking lot nearby and parking on the road side is permitted. Small pets are welcome. Our house is smoke free, nonetheless there are three wonderful balconies where you can smoke a cigarette admiring the view.
The neighborhood
Gangi is located in the center of Sicily at an elevation of 1100 meters, in the Madonie Natural Park, one hour’s drive from Cefalù, famous seaside village. The house is in the center of Gangi, 200 meters far from the wonderful church of Il Salvatore, and five minutes walking distance from the main square, Piazza del Popolo, with its amazing church Madrice.
The small town is best experienced by foot: the thick weave of roofs draws a texture of alleys and courtyards that grooves the city as deep wrinkles. Along these streets and their cobblestones you can hear the steps of history echoing between the stonewalls. The houses cover the steep slope of the hill down to the wide valley, like a handful of pearls nestled in the mount that glimmer in the midday’s sun.
